The hotel is 17 minutes' drive from Tegel airport and 10 minutes' walk to S Humboldthain train station.

The hotel staff is friendly and efficient. Very good basic facilities in room, breakfast hall, lounge and bar.Close to public transport (U- and S-Bahn) to approach city centre and other quarters in 10 minuts.
It may be a risk to stay in the hotel together with rather noisy school classes, although isolation of rooms is OK.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, quiet and very well managed. Breakfast was huge and meant that I was ready to eat again at tea time, with no need for lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return. I have already recommended Citylight to both friends and colleagues.

Simple but comfortable hotel. Good breakfast. Small tv-set in the room but the choice of tv programmes is satisfactory. Good connections with the city centre and the Tegel airport from Gesundbrunnen S-Bahn station. The hotel is close to the shopping centre Gesundbrunnen, there are many kebab restaurants in the neigbourhood, there is also a nice Humboldhein park nearby. Clean bathroom. Comfortable beds but the blanket is rather small and thin. There is no fridge in the room. Generally: no luxury but also nothing to complain about.

We like the helpful and friendly staff. The location is perfect, close to public transportation and major attractions but on a quiet street. This has been our second stay at Citylight and we plan to come back.

Very good if you like sightseeing because of its close proximity to rail newtorks and only 15 minutes or so by U-Bahn to the Brandenburg gate. the staff are very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good. this is my second visit to this hotel and I have no complaints at all.

On the weekend, they add beacon, scramble eggs and wieners to the buffet. The hotel is 10 minute walk from the Gesundbrunnen station that is service by the S-Bahn S41-S42 ring line, S1 & S3, U8 and various regional rail lines as well intercity lines. The RE and intercity will take you to Berlin Central Station that is a 5 minute ride away, but you can wait up to 30 or more minutes for one of these trains. You can use the U8 and the other S-Bahn lines to get to Berlin Central, but you need to change to another line to do it. This will take you about 20-30 minutes of traveling time. You are 7 minutes away from a major shopping mall with a groceries store in it next to Gesundbrunnen station. U8 will take you to another major shopping area at Alexanderplatz Station. There is a wall climbing place across the street.
If you have a room facing the street, you will hear cars rumbling by on the paver road as well the trains up to 1 am for the re, s-u lines and Intercity trains including freight trains. There is no AC and you need to open the windows to cool the room off. They fail to clean my room one day.

Location OK close to U and S bahn station. Surprisingly good breakfast and good room size and OK bathroom.
The hotel is placed a bit too far outside centre of Berlin, at least for the marathon.

The relation quality-price. The cost was cheap and also include a very good breakfast.

Looks quite new, good location, very close to S+U-Bahn. And also not so difficult to find if you come by car (still a map is a must). Rooms are equipped in ikea style, but nothing wrong with that. Clean and sufficient. We got an extra bunk bed in the room, perfect for families with kids (not sure if all rooms have that, better check). Good breakfast buffet.
Staff was a little bit unfriendly and appeared stressed, the typical german way. When checking out they could not find the voucher from Booked.net (the previous colleague supposedly did not make a note or whatsoever) and they wanted to charge again, luckily I had a copy on the laptop still. Better bring 2 printouts, just in case.

Citylight Hotel is an easy walk from Gesundbrunnen station and also quite close to the airport if taking a taxi (taxi cost us €18).
